Fashion, Darling! - Clothing Showcase 01 - My Clothes!

I wanted to do a series of posts showing off and promoting clothes and accessories that I enjoy! I wills tart with some things from my own wardrobe, then perhaps share things I've found online and such, as well. I hope you enjoy, and maybe you'll even find something you fancy to get for yourself!

A very violent-looking necklace charm I got some time ago, I think back in 2015/2016. Likely found at a Hot Topic or Spencers Gifts.

A classic Sonic the Hedgehog shirt I've had since I was a small child. It was a large so I might still fit in it, but I'd rather keep it from damage at this point! It's vintage, baby!

Found at a very interesting second store in Arkansas. I have a fondness for these old skateboarding clothing brands, as I used to play the Tony Hawk games a lot.

My Puppet Combo shirt! Puppet Combo is an indie developer of spooky horror games. I love their work so I was happy to get a t-shirt to support them.

This My Little Pony/Legend of Zelda crossover shirt was a hand-me-down from a friend. It's super cute! The brand is "welovefine" but I wasn't able to find a link to buy this one anywhere, sadly.

This one was a gift from my wife <3 It's huge (more of a dress/gown than shirt!), cozy, and I love the message.

A very colorful hand-made jacket I found in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Another gift from my wife. :)

Rymolene's Pies is a lovely local pie shop in Arkansas that my wife and I have visited several times. They have several t-shirts and stickers for sale. I think they sadly had to close their location near us, but may have moved to another location. Would love to go see them again if so!

Note: I was gonna post a lot more but the site is giving me trouble, images kept refusing to upload...may try again later.

Dead Space (Xbox 360) Review

Dead Space is a survival horror game set in - you guessed it - space! Specifically, the USG Ishimura. You'll follow protagonist Isaac Clarke as what started as a an attempt to fix up a spacecraft turns into an wonderful example of "everything that can go wrong definitely will". The story takes several twists and turns and you'll even get to venture beyond the game's central location a few times! As usual, I won't go too deep into the story because I'd like you to be able to experience it for yourself if you've never played the game! I quite it enjoyed it though, and the game created a good sense of isolated fear while also making me concerned for the safety of Isaac's few surviving crew-mates throughout the game. The combat is very intense as most of the creatures you'll encounter move in a very violent and erratic manners, and you'll want to target their weak points - usually the limbs. Thankfully, the game has a cool upgra...

Grim Fandango Remastered (PC) Review

Grim Fandango is a wonderfully charming point and click adventure game with a unique style. It's based on Mexican/Central American mythology as well as the film nior genre. There are many fun characters to meet and lots of great comedy. They give you multiple options for control - you can either use the classic point and click controls, or you can move Manny around manually in Resident Evil/"tank" style controls (which I found handy at times to use). It can be confusing to figure out puzzle solutions, but there are plenty of guides available online if you get stuck. I don't want to give anything of the story away so I suggest trying the game for yourself! Overall the game is fantastic, but I have a few small criticisms: The game does occasionally have graphical bugs, but I did not encounter any that hindered my enjoyment of the game.  Most of them were actually very comical to encounter, such as Mannys head disappearing or affixing a lever to Glottis...

Dear Esther (PC) Review

“A Very interesting, haunting title. I think it could have been improved by a more interactive world, but the narrative is wonderful and the atmosphere is fantastic. It strongly captures the feel of being lost, dirty and alone. The use of words, sound and visuals made me able to easily imagine the sand in in my shoes, and the harsh salty ocean winds against my dry, tired skin. The ambiguous ending is also very clever, which I can interpret in at-least 3 different ways.” -My original review from 2013 2023 Thoughts: My memory of this game (more of a interactive visual novel as there is no win/loss condition) is kind of like a fever dream because I remember playing it after having an anxiety attack when i was spending a weekend alone in my parents house. It helped me calm down, because while it is very melancholy in tone, it's also quite beautiful and peaceful. It's very slow-paced so it's best for folks who love to take their time and explore the world around...
