City Photos from the internet

I find big cities very pretty. I've lived in one suburb or another my whole life, so a city felt foreign to be in, and thus like an adventure every-time. I especially developed a fondness for the look of Ukrainian and Russian cities, thanks to games like Half-Life 2 and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Now if only these lovely looking countries could be free of putin's invasion and both country's anti-lgbt bigotry...

Here is a screenshot of a city skyline from a youtube music video titled ""30 seconds to mars + sia + eurythmics - hurricane breathe me again (mill mr dj mashup)" (that's a mouthful, I know!)"

You can find a lot of wonderful photograpy on tumblr! Here is a love winter trainyard photographed by user "573p5". You can view their works here.
Ammo1007 is another talented photographer on the site. They have many nice photos of winter and city environments. Some have a nice liminal space quality to them, too. You can view their works here:

Here's a nice eerie one. Apparently this is called a "depth map settlement" in Russia. I don't know what that is, but it sure looks cool and spooky. The source is unknown for the rest of the photos I'll be sharing.

Old dirty rugs being used as a path in Russia. Strange use of a rug, but it's very pretty and gives the space lots of personality!

A mysterious skyscraper in the clouds....(source unknown)

Natalia Trepenok is artist who makes wonderful animal art for story books. I recall seeing some painted murals in the third S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game that even reminds me of her work!

Dead Space (Xbox 360) Review

Dead Space is a survival horror game set in - you guessed it - space! Specifically, the USG Ishimura. You'll follow protagonist Isaac Clarke as what started as a an attempt to fix up a spacecraft turns into an wonderful example of "everything that can go wrong definitely will". The story takes several twists and turns and you'll even get to venture beyond the game's central location a few times! As usual, I won't go too deep into the story because I'd like you to be able to experience it for yourself if you've never played the game! I quite it enjoyed it though, and the game created a good sense of isolated fear while also making me concerned for the safety of Isaac's few surviving crew-mates throughout the game. The combat is very intense as most of the creatures you'll encounter move in a very violent and erratic manners, and you'll want to target their weak points - usually the limbs. Thankfully, the game has a cool upgra...

The Stanley Parable (Steam 2015 PC) Review (Old)

This one is highly recommended! you take control of Stanley, and set out to discover what is happening at your office, with the trusty narrator at your side. Things get interesting when you realize that you can screw around in all sorts of ways, resulting in anything from a happy ending to surreal hilarity to your own tragic demise. Your narrator will do his best to help you along, but he can also only take so much of your bumbling... Pros Brilliant voice acting Hilarious, clever, brutally honest narration Well-made visuals and audio, highly immersive The Adventure Line! The demo is actually an entirely separate story of its own. that's pretty awesome. Give it a try too! Cons None that I can think of, unless you count running out of endings to discover. 2023 Additions: Since I wrote this review, the game has received updates and even been ported to Xbox One! So thankfully, you are no longer restricted to steam for playing this great little game. Someday, I want to sit d...
